Our Vermont Shaker China Cabinet features a simple traditional shaker design handcrafted for you in solid natural cherry, maple and walnut hardwoods. Clean lines and sustainably harvested wood make this piece the perfect example of genuine Vermont craftsmanship. 

The bottom section of this buffet & hutch has 2 sections with 2 adjustable shelves behind each set of doors. (4 adjustable shelves total).

Construction Details

  • Handcrafted in Vermont, USA, using real solid hardwoods
  • Available in natural cherry, natural maple and natural walnut wood
  • Cherry and Walnut woods have a traditional raw linseed oil finish. The tops are then coated with a satin polyurethane to protect against water rings and scratches.
  • Maple wood pieces are finished with hand-rubbed satin polyurethane only as the maple grain is more dense and it does not absorb linseed oil as well as the other woods. Little to no VOCs upon delivery. 
  • Side panels and shelves are a premium furniture grade plywood, which is a wood veneer (cherry, maple or walnut) over several layers of solid poplar wood that are then glued together. Glues used are water based and have zero VOCs.
  • Backs are a birch plywood panel. Visible front facing backs have a wood veneer (cherry, maple or walnut) over the birch panel.
  • One-piece drawer fronts are cut from a single board rather than multiple pieces glued together
  • Drawer sides and backs are constructed of solid poplar wood
  • Drawer bottoms are constructed of solid birch veneer panels
  • Drawer joinery is constructed of sliding dovetail
  • Full extension metal undermount soft close slides
  • Doors are solid wood floating panels
