Finish for cherry and walnut is a hand rubbed linseed oil with a Poly Gel on the tops of occasional tables and case goods.
For maple pieces, the finish is Poly Gel only.

The table top is 3/4" thick at the aprons and 3/8" thick at the end of the bevel.

Maple wood pieces are finished with hand-rubbed satin polyurethane only as the maple grain is more dense and it does not absorb linseed oil as well as the other woods.
