Upcycled Wood Furniture
Sustainability has always been at the core of what we do here at Vermont Woods Studios
All our wood is harvested responsibly from North American forests. Our products are made in Vermont by skilled craftsmen and built to last for generations. We plant trees and advocate for conservation and sustainability initiatives. And we walk the talk by operating a 109 acre working forest at our headquarters in Vermont. But we wanted to go even further towards creating the most sustainable, high-quality furniture on the planet. That's why we are proud to offer products built with upcycled materials using advanced joinery techniques.
Reclaimed Wood Scraps Turned Into High End Furniture
Super eco-friendly and built to last, this solid wood furniture is crafted with the wood scraps of traditional manufacturing, leveraging advanced joinery techniques and reducing waste.
Referred to as "finger-jointing," this modern joinery technique allows small pieces of wood that would normally be tossed away as scrap to be melded together and recycled back into production, increasing the yield of lumber used in the factory. In addition, the cost of this technique is comparatively low, because the raw materials are abundant in a traditional manufacturing setting. You'll find these upcycled collections to be some of the most affordable wood furniture we sell.
Built with Responsibly Harvested Woods in a Solar Powered Facility
This furniture is built with solid North-American hardwoods, like Walnut, Oak, and Cherry. Sourcing local wood means less carbon emissions from international shipping and stronger protections on the forests where the wood is harvested.
These collections are manufactured in a solar-powered facility in Bradford, Vermont by Copeland Furniture and finished with a GreenGuard Certified lacquer. The highest standards in sustainability and quality in the country.
