The Modern American 5-Drawer Chest is a lot of style in a chic package. Features clean cool contemporary lines. A beautiful addition to any contemporary bedroom. All our modern bedroom furniture is handmade in Vermont and is built to last for generations to come. Made from natural cherry or walnut solid wood and eco-friendly oil finish. Drawer pulls can be in any of cherry, maple and walnut so you can select a matching or contrasting option to personalize your chest.

Construction Details

  • Handcrafted in Vermont, USA, using real solid hardwoods
  • Available in natural cherry, natural maple and natural walnut wood
  • Cherry and Walnut woods are finished with a hand rubbed linseed oil and wax finish.
  • Maple pieces are finished with a tung oil and wax, as the maple grain is more dense and it does not absorb linseed oil as well as the other woods. Little to no VOCs upon delivery.
  • All Case Pieces except for blanket chests use premium hardwood plywood. Veneered backs and solid wood backs available. Contact us for details.
  • The sides of these case pieces are crafted using solid wood.
  • Drawer sides and backs are beech wood finished with a water-based acrylic
  • Drawer bottoms are beech wood finished with a water-based acrylic
  • Drawer joinery is constructed of dovetail
