Overview
Fusing American Craftsman style and Asian design, the Berkeley Cherry Wood Platform Bed with Under-Bed Storage makes a sophisticated high end focal point for your upscale bedroom. Four 8" deep, sub-mounted drawers for plenty of convenient, inconspicuous storage. Crafted in natural cherry hardwood with American black walnut spindles, the bed features a low footboard designed for use with a mattress only.
The Berkeley Platform Storage Bed is made to order. Customize online in your choice of wood color. Our Copeland Berkeley Bedroom Furniture Collection is handmade in Vermont using sustainably harvested solid hardwoods.

Construction Details
- Handcrafted in Vermont, USA, using real solid hardwoods
- Available in natural cherry wood with natural walnut accents
- A headless, threaded machine bolt is screwed into the headboard. Wooden dowel pegs align the bed rail with the headboard or footboard. This forces the bed rail into proper orientation and prevents any future twisting.
- The parts are then joined together with a special contoured washer and hex nut using the supplied open-end wrench.
- Berkeley beds utilize three center support legs for additional mattress support
- Platform Kits are similar to T-Slats in that they consist of a plywood horizontal element reinforced by a solid wood spine. However, they differ in that they are much wider and are intended to provide the direct support for the mattress. They come in sets of seven platforms which are 10" wide, set 2" apart and are standard on all Cherry bed intended for mattress alone.

Your mattress will sit approximately 16.2" off the floor. Add the thickness of your mattress to 16.2" to determine the height at which the top of your mattress will sit.
