Case Goods Construction Details
|Wood:||All solid hardwoods, cherry, maple or walnut. Exceptions noted below.|
|Finish:||Cherry and Walnut woods have a traditional raw linseed oil finish. The tops are then coated with a satin polyurethane to protect against water rings and scratches. Maple wood pieces are finished with hand-rubbed satin polyurethane only as the maple grain is more dense and it does not absorb linseed oil as well as the other woods. Little to no VOCs upon delivery. See special care instructions.|
|Backs:||Birch one-piece panels, except for Blanket Chests which are finished solid hardwood on all 4 sides. Veneered and solid wood backs are available for an upcharge of 15% - 45%, Contact us for details.|
|Sides & Shelves:||The sides and shelves of these case pieces are crafted using solid hardwood veneers (cherry, maple or walnut) over premium furniture grade plywood.|
|Drawer Fronts:||One-piece drawer fronts are cut from a single board rather than multiple pieces glued together.|
|Drawer Sides/Backs:||Solid poplar wood.|
|Drawer Bottoms:||Solid birch veneer panels.|
|Drawer Joinery:||Sliding dovetail.|
|Drawer Slides:||Full extension metal undermount soft close slides.|
|Doors:||Solid wood floating panels.|
|Door Hinges:||Adjustable european hinges.|
|Stiles & Rails:||Cope and stick.|
