Platform:
Your mattress will sit 11.25" off the floor. Add the thickness of your mattress to 11.25" to determine the height at which the top of your mattress will sit.
Mattress & Box Springs:
Your mattress will sit 7.25" off the floor. Add the combined thickness of your mattress and box springs to 7.25" to determine the height at which the top of your mattress will sit.

Bed Construction Details
Wood: | All solid hardwoods, cherry, maple, oak or walnut. Only exception: sleigh beds which feature premium veneer over solid wood, learn why here. |

Finish: | Clear, non-toxic, low maintenance lacquer. Little to no VOCs upon delivery. |
Mattress Support: |
Solid hardwood slats made from poplar wood. Each slat is 2.5" wide x 1" thick and set approximately 2" apart connected with a canvass strap. The number of slats for a Mattress and Boxspring is 5 and for a platform bed there are 17. Center supports are standard for any bed Queen size bed and larger. They are a three footed support system that is set under the bed, center lengthwise for added support. |
Side Rails: | Side rails are connected to the headboard and footboard using concealed bolts and nuts. |
Joinery: | We use mortise and tenon joinery in the headboard and footboard. |

At Vermont Woods Studios, each piece of fine furniture is carefully handcrafted and made to order right here in Vermont. The current production time for Lyndon beds is approximately 8-10 weeks.
Once complete, your furniture is blanket-wrapped and shipped by our white glove delivery partners. The transit time from our craftsmen to you depends on accessibility to your area. In some cases, for example with small coffee tables, we use standard shipping via Fed Ex or similar carrier. Shipping and delivery details.

If you live in a location that is outside of our regularly serviced area, please add one to two weeks to your transit time.
We provide wood samples for $6 each. You may keep them or return them for store credit.
