Bed Construction Details
- Wood: All solid hardwoods — cherry, maple or walnut.
- Mattress Support: Solid hardwood slats. All beds in this collection (except Modern American Platform Bed) use a hardwood beam hung from the center of the head and footboards on King beds for additional support — the space below remains open for under-bed storage. Modern American Platform Bed uses the same center support on all sizes except twin.
- Side Rails: Connected to the headboard and footboard using a steel quick latch.
- Joinery: Mortise and tenon in the headboard and footboard.
- Finish: Hand-rubbed oil and wax. No VOCs upon delivery. See special care instructions.
- Shipping: Beds ship disassembled. Free set-up and installation by white-glove delivery crew.
- Care: Furniture care instructions.
Table Construction Details
- Wood: All solid hardwoods — cherry, maple or walnut.
- Leg Connection: Table legs are attached to the top using wooden braces with 2 bolts per leg.
- Extension Slides: Dining table extension slides are made of steel.
- Finish: Hand-rubbed oil and wax. No VOCs upon delivery. See special care instructions. A varnish finish is also available for tabletops with a 15% upcharge.
- Shipping: Tables ship disassembled. Free set-up and installation by white-glove delivery crew. Some smaller tables may ship boxed via FedEx or UPS — these will ship assembled.
- Care: Furniture care instructions.
Case Good Construction Details
- Wood: All solid hardwoods — cherry, maple or walnut.
- Backs: Luan or premium hardwood plywood. Veneered and solid-wood backs available for an upcharge of 15–45%; contact us for details.
- Sides: Solid wood panels in solid wood frames.
- Drawer Sides & Backs: Beech wood finished with a water-based acrylic.
- Drawer Bottoms: Beech wood finished with a water-based acrylic.
- Drawer Joinery: Dovetail.
- Drawer Slides: High-end metal slides.
- Doors: Solid wood floating panels.
- Door Hinges: Classic recessed with antique-bronze finish.
- Stiles & Rails: Traditional mortise and tenon.
- Finish: Hand-rubbed oil and wax. No VOCs upon delivery. See special care instructions.
- Shipping: Case pieces ship fully assembled. Free installation by white-glove delivery crew. Smaller pieces not part of a larger order may ship boxed via FedEx or UPS.
