Bed Construction Details

  • Wood: All solid hardwoods — cherry, maple, oak or walnut. Only exception: sleigh beds, which feature premium veneer over solid wood (learn why).
  • Mattress Support: Solid hardwood slats made from poplar wood. Each slat is 2.5" wide × 1" thick and set approximately 2" apart, connected with a canvas strap. Mattress-and-boxspring beds use 5 slats; platform beds use 17. A three-footed center support runs lengthwise under all Queen-and-larger beds for added support.
  • Side Rails: Connected to the headboard and footboard using concealed bolts and nuts.
  • Joinery: Mortise and tenon in the headboard and footboard.
  • Finish: Clear, eco-friendly, low-maintenance lacquer. Little to no VOCs upon delivery.
  • Shipping: Beds ship disassembled. Free set-up and installation by white-glove delivery crew.
  • Care: Furniture care instructions.

Table Construction Details

  • Wood: All solid hardwoods — cherry, maple, oak or walnut. Select tables also available with reclaimed white pine or reclaimed chestnut tops.
  • Leg Connection: Table legs are attached to the top using metal corner braces with lag bolts.
  • Extension Slides: Solid wood; design may vary by table.
  • Finish: Clear, eco-friendly, low-maintenance lacquer. Little to no VOCs upon delivery. Reclaimed-wood tops use a high-solids oil finish.
  • Shipping: Tables ship with legs detached. Free assembly, set-up and installation by white-glove delivery. Smaller tables may ship boxed via FedEx or UPS, unassembled — the customer attaches the legs with included hardware.

  • Sides: Sides of line 2 case pieces are crafted from solid hardwoods — cherry, maple, oak or walnut.
  • Drawer Fronts: Multiple pieces of wood glued together.
  • Drawer Sides & Backs: Solid wood.
  • Drawer Bottoms: Birch panels.
  • Drawer Joinery: Dovetail.
  • Drawer Slides: Steel black-epoxy-coated full-extension roller-ball-bearing glides — quieter and giving fuller drawer access (110# load capacity). Glides may open and close a bit harder for the first 1/4" until broken in.
  • Doors: Solid wood floating panels.
  • Door Hinges: Adjustable European hinges.
  • Stiles & Rails: Cope and stick.

Custom stains are also available with a 20% upcharge and additional lead time (crafting cannot begin until the customer approves a sample of the custom stain). Contact us for details.
