Vermont Furniture Designs out of Winooski, Vermont was established in 1970 with the mission of creating the most beautiful and durable hardwood furniture possible. Founder Arthur Weitzenfeld transferred the business to two longtime friends and master craftsmen. Rob Bachand has served the company for almost 30 years and Adam Blaisdell for 16 years.  Rob, Adam and their VFD team are renowned for blending styles from the Mission and Arts & Crafts movements with contemporary design. Their dedication to their craft results in true heirloom-quality furniture that you will pass down from one generation to the next.

Each beautiful piece is made to order, just for you, using eco-friendly sustainably harvested wood. VFD artisans bench-craft, using timeless techniques, such as dovetail drawers, mortise and tenon joinery and hand sanding. Each piece of wood is carefully matched for color and grain. The wood is meticulously sanded and finished with a natural oil and wax blend, which protects the piece while bringing out the color, grain, and depth of the wood and allowing it to age gracefully. Attention to detail and quality throughout the crafting process is a hallmark of VFD furniture.  Their design and artistry can be transformative in any room. Customization is easy with VFD furniture.  You can use our drop down menus to select different woods and sizes for each tv stand, media console or occasional table. Give us a call if you don't see just what you're looking for. We frequently modify VFD designs to make tables longer, shorter, taller, wider, etc.  We also add drawers and shelves to tables and so on. Because your furniture will be made to order, we can easily modify it to meet your needs.
