Katie joined us early in 2019 to help out our sales & operations team. She's on the front lines answering phone calls and live chats from customers, communicating with craftsmen about customizations, and touring guests around our showroom.

When did you start at Vermont Woods Studios and what brought you here?
January 2nd, 2019 after the family farm I was working for was sold and closed.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
Placing orders, answering phones, helping customers, and communicating with craftsmen
What’s your favorite part about working at Vermont Woods Studios?
Stonehurst is a sustainable furniture store in Vernon, Vermont. We're working with local, state and national forest conservation groups to help secure the future health of our environment
Working in a beautiful location surrounded by nature, Vermont made furniture and other works of art.
Pizza or Ice Cream?
Both: Grilled chicken pesto pizza with sundried tomatoes, purple onion, kalamata olives and feta cheese followed by chocolate orange or any type of raspberry ice cream.

Describe your typical commute to work.
I live right over the Connecticut River in Northfield, MA. My typical commute to work is a beautiful drive through farmland and rolling hills.
You’re furnishing your dream house. What’s in it?
Art, natural wood, pottery, blown glass, cookbooks/books, a wood stove, lots of windows and unique handmade piece from around the world.
You’re dumping your old dining set. What’s next? Why?

- I’ve backpacked through Ireland.
- I won first place at the Great New England Bundt Cake Challenge in 2018 for my Boozy Irish Soda bundt with Apricot Grand Marnier glaze.
- I’m a total foodie and love to cook/bake with my fiancé.
