Vermont's Beloved Plein Air Painter
One of our favorite Vermont artists is Georgie Runkle. Georgie's a plein air painter-- she loves to be outside painting the scenes she comes across that speak to her heart. You may see her along Vermont's rural by-ways painting a covered bridge, an old barn, a general store or a grand old home with rockers on a wrap-around porch.
Georgie's studio is the first stop on this years Rock River Artist Tour in Newfane, VT July 15 & 16, 2017. For a preview of each artist’s work, start at the Schoolhouse in South Newfane village and pick up a map to take a self-guided tour of the studios of your choice. You'll follow charming country roads that lead to each artist’s location. Enjoy the many gardens -- they're in full summer splendor!
