What Are Farm Tables?
Although the term "farm table" can apply to all sorts of different furniture designs, when we think farm table we usually think a solid wood, rectangular table with four legs. Often times, farm tables will be made from recycled or reclaimed wood like pine, chestnut, or oak. You'll almost always see eased edges, a straight apron, and either tapered, turned, or straight wood legs. Breadboard ends are fairly common in farmhouse tables, also. More modern farm tables might be made with maple, walnut, or cherry, and you might even find farm tables with metal legs.
