We're reaching out to thank Alexandra Hall of Boston Magazine today for including us in her Spring 2017 article, A Wellesley Home Showcases Her Favorite Things. The article features interior designer Nikki Dalrymple and how she transformed a 1906 house into the perfect nest for her family. Above she uses our Country Windsor chairs to add style and contrast in her kitchen. We customized them for her by applying an ebony stain.
Nikki Dalrymple: “I wanted each room to feel like anyone could walk into it at any time and relax, and feel like they were in their own home.” Who wouldn't want the same for their own home? We try to do that here at our Stonehurst showroom too.
Nikki builds her interiors around acquired treasures—one-of-a-kind or rare pieces—"mixing vintage with modern in a way that feels neither overly designed nor too precious". She blends her favorite things together so naturally: traditional style chairs, a vintage leather couch, a 70s style lime green sconce, and an old wicker picnic basket. When you visit her home you must feel like she's sharing a bit of herself with you. I love that.
Time for You to Get That Look?
Stop by and check out our look at Stonehurst-- our home decor showroom in Southeastern Vermont. We're in an 18th century farmhouse nestled into the meadows of a lost ski area from the 1950s. It's an old home that we made new again. All of our decor is handmade in Vermont: furniture from Copeland, Vermont Furniture Designs and others. Luxury light fixtures from Hubbardton Forge, hand-blown glassware from Simon Pearce, incredible linens from Anichini and more. Stonehurst is on 100 beautiful acres of managed forest and pasture that overlooks the Connecticut River. Visit us and get inspired to #GetThatLook of your very own.
