Our high end Modern American Furniture is inspired by George Nakashima’s designs. Nakashima was an American architect who practiced in the American Craftsman era. He spent time in Japan and India working with Antonin Raymond, the “father of Modern architecture in Japan.” One of Raymond’s most prolific architectural projects was in collaboration with Frank Lloyd Wright, who pioneered the “Modern American” design movement during his career in the first half of the 20th century.
