Your Impact

Dear Customers, Partners & Friends,
Here are some highlights of your impact at Vermont Woods Studios in 2019. We're so grateful for your support of our small green business. Your customer reviews & word of mouth recommendations fueled significant growth & we can't thank you enough! Plus, check out all the cool ways you helped us put our environmental and social mission to work:

Connecticut River Cleanup

Connecticut River Cleanup | Our Environmental Mission | 2019 We volunteer to clean up the local CT River beach as part of a state-wide Green Up Day every Spring. From left to right: Greg Augustine, Ken Farabaugh, Sean Henry, Jake Checani behind Sean, Peggy Farabaugh, Geoff Strawbridge, Martin Corbin, Liz Francese, “Jerbo” and Riley Farabaugh.

8000 Trees Planted

We work with Forests For Monarchs in Mexico. These girls are volunteering to plant trees in their community. I volunteer as Vice President of Forests for Monarchs, a 501c3 non profit that plants trees to restore monarch butterfly winter habitat in Mexico. In 2019 we partnered with FFM and the local community in Michoacan, Mexico to plant 7000 trees. We also support the World Wildlife Fund, The Nature Conservancy and many other organizations in their reforestation efforts around the world.

Forest Conservation Field Trip

3rd Grader learning about forest conservation at BEEC Every year we sponsor a field trip for our 3rd Graders at the Vernon Elementary School. They visit the Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center BEEC and get hands on learning about vernal pools and forest conservation.

Feeding the Homeless

We cook dinner for a local shelter in Brattleboro, VT. We slip out of work early now and then to make dinner for a homeless shelter in Brattleboro, VT.

Christmas for Kids & Seniors

Gifts for local kids and seniors during the holiday season Our little village of Vernon, VT makes sure that everyone in town gets a gift for the holidays. We pitch in and provide for several children and seniors each year.

Support for Local Charities

We donate to the local Humane Society and other charities Most of us have pets so I suppose it's not surprising that the Windham County Humane Society WCHS is up near the top of our list of favorite charities. We help out as many local groups as we can by donating cash, food and furniture to their causes.

Stocking Our Local Food Pantry

Monarch Butterfly Conservation

Peggy teaching monarch butterfly conservation at the Flood Brook Elementary School in Londonderry, VT. I guess I'm kind of a Monarch Lady around here. I love making presentations for schools, garden clubs and conservation committees. We learn about the amazing monarch migration and work to conserve their habitat in Vermont and Mexico.

1000 Meals on Wheels Delivered

We deliver Meals on Wheels to local seniors every Friday We've been delivering Meals on Wheels to local seniors every Friday since VWS began in 2005. That adds up to almost 15,000 meals!

Help Us Keep GROWING Our Green Furniture Business

Modern Industrial Table | Walnut Wood | Vermont Woods Studios Although we love working on our mission, it is of course our furniture and home decor business that makes everything possible. In 2019 we grew over 20% and added dozens of new items like this Modern Industrial Furniture Collection. Share this post and help us spread the word about the beautiful Vermont made furniture and home decor we offer.
Custom Furniture for L'Avenue and Le Chalet on top of Saks 5th Avenue in New York City Do you know interior designers and decorators? Share our website with them! 2019 brought many new collaborations with designers. I took this picture on the night we installed custom furniture in L'Avenue, a chic new restaurant and lounge at the top of Saks 5th Avenue in New York City. We worked with Parisian designer Philippe Starck to design and build cocktail tables and occasional furniture for the space.

Thank You

We know how fortunate we are to have customers like you, who share our values. From our start, customer happiness has always been our top priority. Unlike many online furniture stores, we can honestly say our customer reviews are excellent. You don't have to rely on our own Reviews page. Check out independent 3rd party review sites like Google, Facebook, Yelp and Sitejabber.

We thank you for your continued support. We wish you a happy & prosperous 2020. Please come visit us at our Stonehurst showroom one day. We'd love to meet you.
