Our New England Shaker Dressing Stool is handcrafted in Vermont using sustainably harvested wood. Perfect for relaxing while you put on your make-up in the morning, very comfortable and it features and elegant tapered leg.

The option of providing your own custom fabric upholstery is available with this chair. Select the 'Upholstered in Your Own Fabric' option located under Chair Seat options and please read the following information carefully for what is required for this custom option.
Please Note: Production of your stool will not begin until your fabric is received. This will affect the lead time for completion and delivery. You will be notified when the fabric is received.
For each stool you have purchased, the workshop requires the following amount of fabric to ensure you send enough to cover your stool(s):
- 1 yard of 56" wide fabric is needed to upholster each stool
Fabric with patterns: If your fabric has a pattern, please take a picture and mark where the pattern should be centered on the stool seat. You may need to include additional fabric if your pattern requires centering. If your fabric has stripes please notate which direction you wish the design to be oriented. If specific instructions are not supplied with your material, Vermont Woods Studios will not be held responsible for misapplied material.
Case Good Construction Details
|Wood:||All solid hardwoods, cherry, maple, oak or walnut. Select pieces available in reclaimed white pine or reclaimed chestnut.|
|Backs:||Birch Veneer. Veneered and solid wood backs are available in the same wood as the rest of the piece for an upcharge. Contact us for details.|
|Sides:||The sides of our line 2 case pieces are crafted using solid hardwoods: cherry, maple, oak, or walnut.|
|Drawer Fronts:||Drawer fronts made from multiple pieces of wood glued together.|
|Drawer Sides/Backs:||Solid wood.|
|Drawer Bottoms:||Birch panels.|
|Drawer Slides:||Steel Epoxy coated full extension roller ball bearing drawer glide. These glides are much quieter and as they are full extension, will allow for more access to the drawer. They have a 110# load capacity. Please be advised they open and shut a bit harder for the first 1/4” until they are used a bit.|
|Doors:||Solid wood floating panels.|
|Door Hinges:||Adjustable european hinges.|
|Stiles & Rails:||Cope and stick.|
|Finish:||Clear, non-toxic, low maintenance lacquer. Little to no VOCs upon delivery. Reclaimed wood, high solids oil finish.|

At Vermont Woods Studios, each piece of fine furniture is carefully handcrafted and made to order right here in Vermont. The current lead time for production is approximately 8-12 weeks.
Once complete, your furniture is blanket-wrapped and shipped by our white glove delivery partners. The transit time from our craftsmen to you depends on accessibility to your area. In some cases, for example with small coffee tables, we use standard shipping via Fed Ex or similar carrier. Shipping and delivery details.

If you live in a location that is outside of our regularly serviced area, please add one to two weeks to your transit time.
We provide wood samples for $6 each. You may keep them or return them for store credit.
