With the absence of a footboard or headboard, this minimalist design is the perfect complement to any modern loft, urban apartment, or chic setting. Every bed is handcrafted to order in Vermont in your choice of solid cherry, maple or walnut hardwood with an eco-friendly oil finish that not only protects but enhances the natural beauty of the wood. All that's left is to select your size, wood preference and choose between a rounded or straight edge profile.

Bed Construction Details
| Wood: | All solid hardwoods: cherry, maple or walnut. |

| Finish: | Cherry and Walnut woods are finished with a hand rubbed linseed oil and wax finish. Maple pieces are finished with a tung oil, as the maple grain is more dense and it does not absorb linseed oil as well as the other woods. Little to no VOCs upon delivery. |
| Side Rails: | Side rails are connected to the headboard and footboard using a steel quick latch. |
| Slats: | 17 slats that are each 2.5"wide x 1" thick and set 2.5" apart, and that are held together by canvas strapping. Made of poplar wood. |
| Mattress Support: |
For all bed sizes Hardwood Slats support the mattress and are additionally supported by a center support beam. The center support beam is hung from the center of the head and footboard for the slats to rest on and has a center support leg to provide additional support. The space below remains open for under bed storage. The center support leg matches the wood type of the bed. |

At Vermont Woods Studios, each piece of fine furniture is carefully handcrafted and made to order right here in Vermont. The current lead time for production is approximately 16-18 weeks.
Once complete, your furniture is blanket-wrapped and shipped by our white glove delivery partners. The transit time from our craftsmen to you depends on accessibility to your area. In some cases, for example with small coffee tables, we use standard shipping via Fed Ex or similar carrier. Shipping and delivery details.

If you live in a location that is outside of our regularly serviced area, please add one to two weeks to your transit time.
We provide wood samples for $6 each. You may keep them or return them for store credit.
