Due to the global pandemic, there may be certain limitations and precautions that our shippers are taking to not only protect your health but theirs as well. We are making delivery safer by wearing gloves & masks, avoiding contact and disinfecting.
White glove shipping with in-home delivery is the method we use to transport fine furniture from us to you. Here's how it works. When a furniture maker finishes crafting your order, the pieces are carefully placed on a truck and transported to your home by our shipping partners who specialize in handcrafted furniture delivery.
NOTE: White Glove Delivery may not be an available option in all areas and in this case, it will be No Contact-Threshold Delivery (to your porch, garage or outside your front door). A signature will not be required in this case but instead we will photograph the order at the doorstep for proof of delivery.
We love this delivery method and are pretty sure you will too. Here's why:
White Glove shipping does not apply to POLYWOOD outdoor furniture.
Orders less than $3500 incur the following basic white glove shipping charges:

A variety of premium white glove shipping services are available upon request. Please let us know if you require this type of specialty service upon order placement and we will quote the additional charge at that time. With proper planning we can negotiate reasonable white glove shipping premiums for you. Last minute negotiation can be difficult and expensive so we'd like to help you avoid this. Here are examples of premium white glove delivery services:
We are happy to store your furniture at no cost for up to 30 days after it's completion. After 30 days, customers unable to accept delivery will be charged standard industry fees for storage:
If we're shipping a small item (like an occasional table, mirror, night stand or a bench) we may select FedEx, UPS or common carrier as the best option for you. In this case, you will be supplied with all necessary hardware and assembly instructions (typically this means attaching the legs to a table)
Small items, shipped separately incur the following shipping charges on orders that are less than $3500:
Order Total | Shipping Charge |
---|---|
$0 - $999 | $149 |
$1000 - $1999 | $199 |
$2000 - $3499 | $249 |
Small item shipping is rarely used on orders over $3500, although occasionally it is necessary to ship a small item separate from the rest of the order. In that case there is no charge.
We ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Europe and other international locations. Customers in Canada will find purchasing from Vermont Woods Studios to be much like their domestic purchasing processes, however shipping, duties and fees must be quoted for each individual order prior to the sale. Call or email us for details and estimates.
Customers in Europe, Asia, Africa and other overseas locations should be aware that certain additional charges for shipping, crating and import duties will apply. Often exchange rates help to offset the cost of international shipping.
A note about overseas orders (including Alaska & Hawaii): we've had great success shipping furniture overseas however we do want to be sure customers understand there is additional risk. You must have your agent inspect your order thoroughly before it leaves the lower 48 states as we cannot be responsible for any shipping damage that may occur during an overseas shipment. Due to the logistics of servicing furniture overseas, we are unable to offer our standard lifetime guarantee.
Please note: Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable and subject to change
