The walls of Stonehurst have been graced by the colorful abstract art of local painter, Joe Norris.  Joe is a Vermont-based artist whose paintings reside in galleries & private homes throughout New England and around the world.  We love seeing his vibrant paintings as the backdrop for our Vermont made furniture.  They’re the perfect modern yin to our traditional yang.

Surrounded by her favorite paintings, Georgie works in her studio on the days that just don’t lend themselves to plein air.  We asked our friend Shane McFalls at Mondo Mediaworks of Brattleboro to film Georgie as part of our video about the artists and furniture makers featured at Vermont Woods Studios.

One of our favorite Vermont artists is Georgie Runkle.  Georgie’s a plein air painter– she loves to be outside painting the scenes she comes across that speak to her heart. You may see her along Vermont’s rural by-ways painting a covered bridge, an old barn, a general store or a grand old home with rockers on a wrap-around porch.
