Outdoor Patio Furniture Should Be Enjoyed Year After Year

I remember my parent’s first outdoor patio furniture set. It was made of metal and painted white. It had a traditional “grooved” glass top and matching folding chairs that each had an overwhelming 90s floral pattern cushion. It was clunky and attracted rust. When my parents decided to move it to a different spot, they dropped it just hard enough that the entire glass top shattered into a million pieces.

Sit back and Enjoy the View with our POLYWOOD® Adirondack Chairs

Adirondack Chairs
Looks like summer is actually here, finally! We’re so excited that POLYWOOD season has begun and we can put our outdoor furniture to good use. Won’t you come join us? Summer at Stonehurst is lovely and we have plenty of space for visitors to walk around, hike, see some wildlife, or just relax in our Adirondack chairs and enjoy a nice cold drink!

Adirondack chairs are true staples of summer. They are comfy, colorful, and make the perfect lounging chairs for long days next to the lake or pool. (Or if you’re in the middle of Vermont like us, they make the perfect seats for kicking back and taking in the view!)

Our POLYWOOD Adirondack chairs are special because they are not made from real wood. They are crafted from recycled plastic lumber, or more simply, 300+ recycled milk jugs! While we wouldn’t usually promote reliance on plastics, these chairs keep thousands of pounds of plastic from ending up in landfills each year. They’re ultra durable, can survive through hot summers and the snowiest of winters, and we guarantee them for life.

We have many styles of Adirondack chairs, some of our favorites include:

Our South Beach Adirondack Dining Chairs-

But this high quality Adirondack Style Chair is made from an innovative, maintenance free recycled plastic which delivers the look and beauty of traditional solid wood outdoor furniture without the weathering, splintering, and rotting concerns.

and our Classic Folding Adirondack Chairs-

Our Classic Adirondack Chair is the best choice for your outdoor porch, deck, patio, garden, or lawn. Just relax and enjoy for years to come. Choose from 7 traditional or 6 vibrant colors: slate grey, blue, teak, tangerine, red, sand, mahogany, lime, lemon yellow, green, black, aruba or white.

The differences in these three Adirondack styles are subtle, but we have dozens more for you to enjoy! Where would you put your Adirondack chair this summer? Let us know in the comments or on twitter.

All Weather Adirondack Chairs

All Weather Adirondack Chairs from Vermont Woods Studios
The backyard of Stonehurst.  These wooden Adirondack chairs are longtime residents and have actually weathered quite gracefully.  But today’s POLYWOOD recycled plastic outdoor furniture lasts a lifetime…

We’re in the middle of winter here in Vermont but elsewhere in America people must be preparing for Spring.  We’re getting lots of inquiries about our POLYWOOD all weather Adirondack chairs.  It seems we’re not the only ones unwilling to haul outdoor furniture back and forth from the basement every year.

Polywood all weather Adirondack chairs | Recycled plastic milk jugs
Which Adirondack chairs do you prefer?  Wood or recycled plastic?  And which setting do you prefer?  Winter in the backyard of Stonehurst or summer on the banks of Lake Champlain?

Unlike the wooden chairs above, today’s all weather Adirondack chairs are made of recycled plastic milk jugs or POLYWOOD.  They offer the traditional design that’s proved itself comfy for generations along with new state of the art plastics technology that makes these chairs super durable. POLYWOOD holds up against harsh weather such as rain, snow, ice, and salt water.  It’s insect, mold and mildew resistant, requires no maintenance and even comes with a  lifetime guarantee.  Best of all, there are over a dozen colors to choose from and you’ll never have to touch up or paint (POLYWOOD’s color runs all the way through each recycled plastic board).

So, let us know which Adirondack chair (wood or POLYWOOD) and which seasonal setting (winter in the mountains or summer on the lake) you prefer on Facebook.
