We're in Architectural Digest Again!

Vermont Shaker Bed | White Arrow | Schoolhouse Loft Conversion | Architectural Digest We worked with Keren and Thomas Richter of White Arrow Studios in support of their 19th century Williamsburg Schoolhouse renovation in Brooklyn. They transformed the top floor into a luxurious loft apartment, rich with period detail (like our Vermont Shaker 4 poster bed). White Arrow Design Studio

Congratulations to our colleagues, Keren and Thomas Richter of White Arrow, a Brooklyn design studio. These creative designers took an 1800s Williamsburg Schoolhouse and transformed it into a loft apartment so stunning it was featured in Architectural Digest. Applause also goes to architect Kevin Greenberg of Space Exploration Design, and general contractor, Tristan Warner who were integral to the metamorphosis of this incredible home.

Our Shaker 4 Poster Bed, Customized

Vermont Shaker Bed | White Arrow | Schoolhouse Loft Conversion | Architectural Digest
Who wouldn't want to curl up every night in this cozy bedroom? Keren made a few easy customizations to our Vermont Shaker 4 Poster bed (we omitted the blanket rail and delivered the bed unfinished so it could be painted on site). Design is in the Details

"To celebrate the heritage of a landmarked 1800’s Brooklyn schoolhouse, we transformed a utilitarian artist loft into a glamorous home, rich with period appropriate detail. Inspired by the building’s character, we designed custom Victorian millwork and tracked down the original tin ceiling tiles. We utilized salvaged doors and hardware, antique earthenware sinks and claw foot tubs. We chose reclaimed North American Chestnut flooring and a mix of 1700’s Delft ceramic tiles to add a unique touch to the kitchen and bathrooms. The timeless backdrop plays off the modern mix of furniture White Arrow designed, customized, and sourced," Keren and Thomas Richter. See all the details at White Arrow.

About Architectural Digest

Architectural Digest magazine has been around for almost 100 years and is the world's top authority on interior design. Their beautiful photos by our favorite designers inspire us everyday. It's exciting to be part of one of their stories!
The other AD article we were featured in was "24 Eco-friendly Home Furnishings and Accessories". The piece by Carolina O'Neill was in honor of Earth Day, and it featured our recycled plastic Polywood outdoor furniture along with other green items for your home.
Thanks AD for such a great magazine and thanks again to the fabulous design team of Keren and Thomas Richter at White Arrow.
