We work exclusively with Vermont’s finest, independent quality oriented furniture makers.

Vermont Woods Studios works to provide gifted independent furniture makers, who are unable to afford conventional channels for marketing their goods, access to the fine furniture market. We encourage this group of passionate craftspeople, dedicated to the highest quality and style, by matching them with customers both online and through galleries and expositions. Vermont has a long history of woodworkers and for over 200 years wood products have been the most important manufacturing industry in Vermont. Scattered across rural Vermont towns are workshops large and small where the handed-down tradition of crafting solid, functional, and lasting furniture pieces continues. Vermont made furniture tends to be simple in design, strong in function, and exhibits the natural beauty of the wood.

Typically our furniture makers workshops range in size from a single craftsman to a couple dozen. Some craft ultra luxury artisan custom furniture and each of their pieces is unique, made in a small studio, usually by a single artisan, with the occasional help of an apprentice or a family member.  Other craftspeople produce more classic handcrafted wood furniture designs which they make routinely and at affordable prices.
