I initially wrote to complain that a delivery of a dresser had been made without notice or my confirmation - since I was not home, the dresser ended up at my neighbor's. Rebecca immediately emailed me back, and called, with apologies. I had not expected or thought that anything could be done, but Rebecca arranged for the delivery men to return and move the dresser from my neighbor's to my apartment. I was so impressed by the attention she gave the matter, as well as her ability to redress the situation. The dresser was moved yesterday, without a hitch. Also, the piece I ordered is absolutely beautiful. I look forward to ordering from Vermont Woods Studios in the future, and my neighbor - who housed the dresser for a week - also asked for your website info, as he loved the piece.
I don't usually write letters like this, but I don't usually receive such great service. The true mark of a company is revealed, I think, not by flawless service, but how problems are addressed. This situation was addressed with the utmost care, respect, and competency. I truly thank you and Rebecca for that.

The buffet which was customized to my specifications is just what I imagined! It is gorgeous. The delivery was just as promised as well. The two delivery men were extremely courteous and careful. They were also very patient while they waited for me to fully examine the furniture.
I sent you photos of the buffet doors open so you could see that I did make good use of the extra shelves on one side. It's absolutely right for me. I would never have found the perfect buffet in a store.
I do not do much ordering online. I hesitated for a long time before I placed the order. I think the thing that convinced me was an online comment from someone in Camarillo, CA who had visited your shop in the summer to see what it was, then ordered and received their furniture here, less than an hour from our home in Ojai. When I paid the full amount at the outset, a couple of my relatives questioned my wisdom. However, having conversed with Kendall on the phone and by e-mail and having read everything I could find about you on the internet, I felt quite confident that it would turn out all right and that we would receive what we wanted.
My daughter who lives nearby is amazed at how perfect the buffet is in our dining room. I haven't had much company in just two weeks, but the one couple who came over for dinner admired it immediately. Thank you so much for all your patience with my questions and changes. I appreciate so much the customer service you provided. I am definitely a perfectionist, so I am totally pleased with all the care you have taken from planning to constructing to shipping and delivering the buffet.
I am totally happy to support a company like yours which has sustainability at the core of its existence. I am also glad to support the individual craftsmen.

They made a beautiful mission style bed frame for us (solid cherry). Absolutely no problem customizing certain things for us. The price was probably about a quarter of what I'd expect to pay in a retail store for the quality of furniture we received (extremely high quality craftsmanship, beautiful to look at, superior materials, etc.). My big concern was paying the full price up front and not receiving delivery of the bed frame until a couple months later. I worried that I'd pay and then not receive anything. This definitely did not happen. They delivered the bed frame exactly when they estimated they would. I highly recommend you go with this company. We'll certainly order from them in the future.
