Free Shipping with DIY Delivery on Copeland Furniture
Copeland furniture has made significant advances in the art, science and technology of fine furniture packaging and shipping. They are the world leader in safe, efficient, economical fine furniture shipping. As such we offer free shipping with a money-saving, do-it-yourself (DIY) delivery option for customers who are willing and able to handle their own delivery. If you are comfortable lifting and moving heavy, wood furniture AND you consider yourself to be a handyman, DIY delivery may be fine for you but please be aware that DIY delivery is not for everyone.
With DIY delivery, your furniture is brought to your doorstep where you must unpackage and inspect it yourself, then sign for it. You are responsible to bring your furniture into your home and assemble it, if needed. For chests, dressers and other case goods, there is typically no assembly required, with the exception of drawer and door knobs. However any piece of furniture with doors or drawers may get jostled during shipment and require adjustment and leveling upon installation in your home. With DIY delivery, this adjustment is the customer's responsibility. With beds, you must assemble the bed yourself. Directions are provided.
The DIY delivery is very different from our normal white glove delivery option which is super easy -- you don't have to do anything but point to where you'd like your furniture to be set-up, assembled, adjusted and levelled. If you prefer this white glove option (and I whole-heartedly recommend it) you may order it for a nominal fee, usually about $300.
All of our shipping-delivery options require customers to follow this inspection procedure upon receipt of their furniture so we can be sure it arrived at your home safely and without damage.
