Vermont Woods Studios is a retailer of luxury, fine wooden furniture that's handcrafted in Vermont and exported to upscale homes all across the country. Our primary retail outlet is an award-winning online furniture store although we also maintain a unique rural showroom in Southeastern Vermont. Currently New York City is one of the strongest markets for our online store, and that's based solely on the limited traffic we have gained organically through our website. NYC area customers are continually advising us to expand our marketing efforts in the vicinity and we are ready to respond! We're looking for a seasoned sales & business development professional with an established network of luxury sector connections in the NYC area to lead the effort. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves NY but enjoys an occasional retreat to the mountains (more about us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and our on blog).

We're looking for an entrepreneur to develop innovative ways to use our website and marketing collateral to reach out directly to customers. You must be able to analyze opportunities & inroads into the New York City area B2C retail furniture market and then follow through with a plan.

ABOUT THE JOB
Results are what we're interested in and we know there are many ways to achieve them. We're flexible and will entertain different proposals (full time, part time, contract)) regarding the logistical details of this job. We believe the ideal candidate currently lives in NYC and is well connected to the luxury market, either in real estate or a related sector.
Initial training and familiarization with our company will be provided at Stonehurst, our Vernon, VT showroom and office. Subsequent training, strategic planning and team building will occur at Stonehurst as necessary. We are committed to providing the optimum training, preparation and tools for the job while leaving the day-to-day logistics up to the successful candidate.

Our furniture is made right here in Vermont using hardwoods which are sustainably harvested from well managed forests. We are one of America's premier online fine furniture stores and we have delivered VT made furniture to homes in all 50 states and internationally. Recently we renovated a 200 year old farmhouse (located at the former Pine Top Ski Area) which now serves as a furniture showroom and corporate office. We are looking for a dynamic sales manager to lead our team in providing customers with the ultimate luxury home decor shopping experience.
Are you an engaging, self-motivated team player who loves working in retail sales? Do you have advanced computer skills and proficiency with CRMs and other electronic sales tools? Are you innovative and creative in your approach to sales? Do you have an interest in furniture, interior design, home decor and art work?
