It’s New Year’s Eve and I’m in Awe

We're just getting ready to go out for a very early New Year's Eve dinner (starts at 5pm so we can be home to watch movies and ring in the New Year in a most delightfully boring way).  But I just opened an email from one of my most prolific email forwarding friends (thanks, Larry!) and had to pass it on to you.

This pencil sketch and many others depicting endangered species, was done by Doug Landis, a quadripelegic, paralyzed from the neck down as a result of a high school wrestling accident.  Doug's drawings are done by mouth!

What an incredible inspiration he is!  His story is beautifully illustrated here.  I hope you'll enjoy it.  We salute Doug and send our very best wishes to him for a happy, healthy and fulfilling New Year.
