Earth Hour 2010 is Here – March 27
We’ve been participating in the World Wildlife Fund‘s Earth Hour project for the last couple years and it’s been a lot of fun. Have you heard of Earth Hour? It’s a time when the whole world comes together to make a statement and make a difference in the fight against global climate change. We’ll all turn our lights off for an hour on March 27, 2010 from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, local time.
Last year nearly one billion people participated by turning their lights off in their homes and small businesses all around the world. In the USA, National Monuments including Mount Rushmore, along with other American icons like the Empire State Building, the Las Vegas Strip and the Golden Gate Bridge and many more joined in.
Please mark your calendar and join us to turn your lights out on March 27, 2010 from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm. It’s a great time for a candlelight dinner or perhaps a little star-gazing. Tenille Bonoguore has 60 suggestions for cool things to do when the lights are out.
